The distillery A.H. Riise is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony. Around the 1840s, the pharmacist Albert Heinrich was not only allowed to open a pharmacy but also to produce alcohol. The Frigate Jylland Rum is an exclusive edition of the popular Danish Navy Rum. This Navy Rum is blended from different types of rum - some of them are up to 20 years old. Limited to 2,000 bottles!Tasting notes:Colour: dark walnut brown. Nose: dark, intense, cigars, fudge, chocolate, notes of grass, mint. Taste: initially mild, pineapple, honeydew melon, banana, notes of milk chocolate.
