Domenico Dal Cero founded the winery Cà dei Frati in 1939, which is still a pure family business. The total annual production is about 400,000 bottles. Only 30% of the production is exported abroad. This wine had a short maceration period and, after temperature-controlled fermentation, was aged on its lees for 6 months and then in bottle for another 2 months. Awards: - 2009 vintage: 2 glasses from Gambero Rosso. Tasting notes:Straw yellow in the glass. The nose is spicy and floral with herbal notes. On the palate fruity of apricots and almonds. Full of finesse and long lasting finish. Grape variety: Trebbiano. Aging: 6 months in stainless steel tanks, 2 months in bottle. Acidity: 6.40 g/l. Soil: Calcareous and clayey. Closure: Natural cork. Serving temperature: 8°C. Storage potential: 3-4 years. This wine is excellent as an aperitif and goes perfectly with fried or grilled fish and seafood.
