This rhum matured for at least 3-5 years. It is made from freshly pressed, fermented sugar cane juice. Afterwards the barrels are transported by ship to the French owner who takes over the maturing in small oak barrels.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: Harmonious, sweet, strong, fruit, sugar cane, hints of chocolate and vanilla. Taste: Round, notes of banana, plum, vanilla, coconut and chocolate. Finish: Long lasting. It is best to taste this rum with a small piece of dark chocolate. This Dillon is excellent as a digestif. In any case it tastes best straight. But it is also often used for mixed drinks.
