Giusti Longheri Pinot Grigio 2018
The story of Ermenegildo Giusti is common to many of our emigrants who, after having achieved success overseas - in the case of the construction sector in Canada in particular - decide to invest in their native land, making the dream of becoming wine producers come true. The Giusti Wine project took off in 2004 in the town of Nervesa della Battaglia, in the Treviso area, with the purchase of the first hectares of vineyards, becoming a dynamic and constantly evolving reality that can now count on around 75 hectares of vineyards, with the aim to reach 100 by next year. The company is an important point of reference and promotion for the entire Montello area, an area where excellent Prosecco and DOCG red wines are produced, fascinating for the rolling hills and splendid villas that have obtained the recognition of humanity by UNESCO. The extension is very varied as it is divided into vineyards located in ten estates located in various locations, starting from those located between the aforementioned Montello hills and the Abbey of Nervesa della Battaglia, up to the Valpolicella Classica and Val d 'Illasi, with the production of Amarone and Ripasso. As for the grapes we naturally find the Glera for the production of Prosecco, then the main Bordeaux and red berry cultivars, and the Recantina, an indigenous grape variety that gives wines of a certain thickness. The venue was obtained by renovating an ancient rural village and extends over 1,000 square meters, keeping the history and the peasant atmosphere of that place alive, however a modern steel tower has been created conceived to offer a view of the surrounding territories the company, the places that the company tries to tell through its labels.
