For 20 years William Grant had a dream to create the "best whisky in the valley", he made this dream come true with the help of his family in the summer of 1886. Glenfiddich is Gaelic and means "valley of the stags". 15 years after the production of the first solera vat in 1998, Glenfiddich has built three more oak casks, mainly for this Cask Collection. The Glenfiddich Vintage Cask matures in European and American bourbon casks. This Glenfiddich gets its finish in one of the three solera vats. Tasting notes:Colour: Light amber. Nose: Slightly sweet, peat, malt, smoke. Taste: Peaty, smoky, malty, sweet vanilla, citrus. Finish: Long lasting, sweet oak, dry smoke.
