Jameson is a mature Pot Still Whiskey and one of the most famous Irish Blends. It is made from a mixture of malted and unmalted barley and goes through 3 distillation processes. It is then aged in oak barrels from Spain, Portugal and the USA, in which sherry, port or bourbon have matured. The whiskey is then blended by the Master Blender from whiskeys of different ages and casks to create the famous Jameson blend.Tasting notes:Nose: wood, sherry. Taste: Fine, soft, mild, sweet, fruit, notes of wood. Finish: Long lasting, mild. It can be enjoyed pure, with a dash of water or with a little ice. In summer, Jameson is often mixed with lemonade and a little apple juice by the younger generation. In winter the "Hot Irish" or "Hot Whiskey" is very popular. Here Jameson is served with hot water, a little sugar and a slice of lemon.
