The Polz winery is located in southern Styria. The geographical location of the winery is ideal for viticulture. The good balance between sunshine hours and precipitation as well as the nature of the soil are decisive for the production of high quality wine. The grapes for this fantastic Pinot Gris are grown on sandy-loamy soils. Before it was bottled, this wine matured for 12 months in large wooden barrels. Tasting notes:Sparkling yellow with green accents in the glass. In the nose after ripe pears. Good structure at the palate, very compact, after almonds and marzipan. Long lasting in the finish. Grape varieties: Pinot gris. Maturation: Small used wooden barrels. Soil: Loam, sand, slate, limestone marl. Residual sugar: 2,3 g/l. Acidity: 6,5 g/l. Closure: screw cap. Drinking temperature: 10-12 °C. Storage potential: Until 2024. This Polz is excellent with pasta, mushrooms and poultry.
