Ron Esclavo is a premium rum range from the Dominican Republic. From the cultivation of the sugar cane to the bottling, everything takes place in the Dominican Republic; the distillery behind it is Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos. "Esclavo" is the Spanish word for slave and eponymous for this rum series, which is meant to pay homage to all the people who paid a high price in the dark chapter of rum production. This rum is aged in American and French oak barrels. The second maturation takes place for another 12 months in ex-Sauternes wine barrels. Bottling: October 2021 Limited to 845 bottles. Tasting notes:Color: Dark amber. Nose: Slightly acidic, apricots, brown sugar, milk chocolate, maple syrup. Taste: Complex, deep, sweet, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, hints of fresh vanilla. Finish: Long lasting.
